Join us for a ride on the
EAST COAST GREENWAY
From Bronxville to Battery Park
Sunday June 10, 2012 9:00 AM
Starting point: Bronxville Metro-North Train Station parking lot @ Park Place & Kraft Ave.
Ending Point: Battery Park, NYC
Please join us for a 25-mile guided bike ride from Bronxville in Westchester County to Battery Park in downtown Manhattan. The ride will proceed at a very easy-going pace of 10 - 13 MPH.
We will explore existing off-road portions of the East Coast Greenway, including the Bronx River Greenway, the Bronx River Forest, Mosholu Greenway, Van Cortlandt Park Greenway, and 13 miles of the Hudson River Greenway in Manhattan. The on-road stretches will take us through historic neighborhoods in the Bronx and Northern Manhattan. We expect to end about 1:00 PM, at an outdoor café in leafy Battery Park.
Plan on returning on your own. Bring water, snacks, a spare tire, and wear a helmet. We usually ride rain or shine but if the weather is particularly unpleasant, you will receive a cancellation email at 7:45AM on the day of the ride.
